Jeffrey Daniel is bringing together all of his individual talents to launch a solo career integrating his musicianship, creative ability, song writing, dance and performing skills.
JD from the beginning has always been an icon of style and today is no different.
In 2006 Jeffrey put a band together and began performing his own original material. He played a huge event in Gabon, Africa – televised to millions in front of 30,000 people – the same gig Bob Marley did 30 years ago.
Jeffrey appeared on the UK's Soccer am in February 2007 to talk about his work and relationship with Michael Jackson. There had been a craze amongst footballers to celebrate a goal by performing the Moonwalk on the pitch. It was Jeffrey that had first performed the Moonwalk on TV and had taught the dance to Michael as his personal choreographer. The TV appearance introduced Jeffrey to a new generation and his website was bombarded with hits and he was inundated with emails from new fans. The YouTube listing of the show racked up tens of thousands of hits in less than a month.
The Moonwalk debate is still an ongoing topic generating tremendous interest all over the world with over 10,000 entries on YouTube and one million three hundred thousand on google alone.
April 2007 saw Jeffrey headline the “Riding on a Soul Train” tour performing his own songs to the UK audience.
In May 2007 Jeffrey then appeared on Michael Jackson's' Thriller Live sharing the compere role with Tito Jackson on a 26 date UK tour.
In 2009 Jeffrey has choreographed and appeared within a TV commercial for UNIQLO in Japan, he will appear with Shalamar on TV Ones Unseen, on UK ITV tribute to Michael Jackson and towards the end of the year on a tribute to Soul Train put together by VH1.
Jeffrey is currently in Japan recording an album of his solo material and will then be playing live to promote the release.

Jeffrey Daniel Master Dance Class ...
Attention all dancers and dancers in training !! Jeffrey Daniel (The World's Pioneer of West Coast Street Dance) will finally return to his roots in Los Angeles and teach a Master Dance Class and Work Shop at the Lula Washington Dance Theatre on Sunday August 30th 2009.
Beginners and Young People's Class
Starting at 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Advanced class
From 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
Both classes will include the history and background of the West Coast Contemporary Street Dance style that took Jeffrey from Soul train to Shalamar's world tours and becoming the first Street Dance choreographer ever nominated for an MTV best choreographer Award for his work on Michael Jackson's "Bad" promotional video.
This will be the first class of this type Jeffrey has ever taught in America and the first time he's worked in the USA since the late 90's. What makes this class so special to Jeffrey is that Lula Washington Dance Theatre is located on the Crenshaw Blvd strip, just down the street from the Maveric's Flats club where Jeffrey grew up dancing in before and during his time as a Soul Train Dancer.
Jeffrey Daniel is in America for a limited time only before returning to Japan and the U.K.
So you are all welcome to come and enjoy a celebration of the West Coast legacy of dance that has influenced the entire industry and generations since the late 1970's until 2009 by Los Angeles' own Master Pioneer, Jeffrey Daniel.
